Julien Bergignat designed the tatoo bicycle helmet with Patrice Mouille inspired from the small animal armadillo. It is very simple, there is a flexible but tear resistance plastic (polypropylene) laminate cut in the appropriate shape, some foam (also polypropylene) pads, two clips and the straps. You simply fold it, clip it and wear it. It is easily stored because when unclipped it is flat.---



This is just a design concept, it may have a difficult certification process ahead of it but it is a clever idea. It won't be as safe as a conventional helmet but being so easy to pack it will be used when a cyclist wouldn't be able to carry a classic helmet. It surely is much safer than no helmet.
