Introduction
This article aims to clarify an important subject, that of power and torque in cars and motorcycles. It is something one can see everywhere. In magazine tests, advertising and constructor press releases the maximum power and torque of a vehicle (along with the respective rpm) are always mentioned.
Even though these quantities are though to be well known, in reality in general we ignore what exactly they represent in automotive applications. Here we will examine this subject from the start and its general aspect while providing some examples with real data.
