Dupli Casa - by J. Mayer H. Architekten
by IKE 01-Feb-2010 15:02

This house is designed by J.Mayer H. architecture and it is situated in southwest Germany. It is a renovation of an older building made in 1984 but it now has a completely different style.---

The building is mostly made of concrete but with this special treatment it has an appearance similar to white plastic. It is designed in order to give the residents a sense of hover or levitation over the ground and also to have an aesthetic continuity between the interior and exterior space. As coolhunter mentions, its appearance has a strong resemblance with the Star Wars films.
