Unmanned Systems and the Future of War
by IKE 24-Mar-2010 02:43

On March 23 the Subcommittee on National Security and Foreign Affairs from USA organized a hearing entitled "Rise of the Drones: Unmanned Systems and the Future of War". The main subject as the title implies was the rising importance of unmanned systems (aerial, ground robots etc) in current warfare around the world and also their potential role in the future.
Although the hearing is mainly under a US point of view, these issues are global and the speakers illustrate the situation very accurately and from many aspects.---

You can watch the videos of the hearing and read the written testimonies of the experts here: http://oversight.house.gov

Among the speakers are P.W.Singer, author of the excellent book Wired for war and Michael Fagan from AUVSI
